Dungworth Green, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S6 6HE
Small school, Big ambitions
Before Christmas, Reception, Y1, Y2 , Y5 and Y6 visited local woods to take part in forest school activities with Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust. They made Outdoor Art and created forest homes for fairies and animals that need to hibernate. They also studied Art created by local sculptor Stoneface and took inspiration from his creations.
Rainbow class became explorers and went down to Dungworth Green to hunt for Minibeasts. We used identification keys to find out the names of the different creatures we found. Rainbow class were careful to ensure they placed all of the Minibeasts they had found back where they had found them. It was lots of fun!
