Outdoor Learning

This week for outdoor learning day Hedgehog class went to the park to complete their science lesson. They explored the environement to search for evidence of things that were living, dead or never been alive. They were thinking very carefully about the life processes to give reasons for their opinions. Well Done Hedgehogs !  18/5/23

The Reception children have enjoyed planting potatoes.  Thank you to the PFA for providing us with our new planters in the reception area.

Reception class have had lots of fun creating their own artwork using natural loose parts play.  They used the different natural materials to make their own self portrait.

Before Christmas, Reception, Y1, Y2 , Y5 and Y6 visited local woods to take part in forest school activities with Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust. They made Outdoor Art  and created forest homes for fairies and animals that need to hibernate. They also studied Art created by local sculptor Stoneface and took inspiration from his creations.

Rainbow class became explorers and went down to Dungworth Green to hunt for signs of Spring.
